Hawaiian Pulled Pork Sliders

Sliders are a staple for any get together especially a Hawaiian Foods Theme party. Add some Aloha Spirit to any pulled pork slider with King’s Hawaiian Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce, Dole pineapple chunks and Mauna Loa Dry Roasted Macadamia Nuts.

Hawaiian Pulled Pork Sliders Recipe

Ingredients (Taken from the video)

  • 3 1/2 pounds Pork Butt
  • King’s Hawaiian Rolls

Dry Rub

  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Seasoned Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried Oregano
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Cumin

Braising Liquid

  • 2 cups Beef Broth, store bought or homemade
  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 10 Peppercorns
  • 2 cups King’s Hawaiian Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce, divided

Hawaiian Slaw

  • 1/2 head Napa Cabbage, chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup Purple Cabbage, chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup Carrots, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup Crushed Pineapple
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 1/2 cup Macadamia Nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground Black Pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon Cinnamon


Directions (Taken from the video)

  1. In a small bowl, mix together all Dry Rub ingredients.
  2. Place pork butt into a large hotel pan or disposable aluminum pan.
  3. Sprinkle dry rub dry over pork butts and rub in. Be sure to cover all surfaces.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together all Braising Liquid ingredients except King’s Hawaiian Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce.
  5. Pour braising liquid over pork butts.
  6. Pour 1 cup King’s Hawaiian Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce over pork butts.  Spread evenly.
  7. Tightly cover pan with foil and place in a preheated 350°F. Bake for 3 1/2 hours.
  8. In a large bowl, combine all Hawaiian Slaw ingredients. Mix well.
  9. Remove pork from over.
  10. Allow to cool until it is comfortable to handle.
  11. Pull and shred the pork using your hands and/or Pork Shredders (see below).
  12. Pour 1 cup King’s Hawaiian Smoked Bacon BBQ Sauce over shredded pork and mix well.
  13. Slice King’s Hawaiian Rolls in 1/2 (tops and bottoms) and lightly toast both sides.
  14. Arrange bun bottoms on a plate or cutting board to start assembly.
  15. Place a nice helping of pork on the buns and top with a bit of Hawaiian slaw.
  16. Cover with top buns and serve.
